Make your reservations early for a front-row look at the first Film in the Cities Photography Sale. With print performances at these prices, there’ll be standing room only. Whether you want to begin to buy photographs or to expand your collection, you’ll find affordable works by over sixty of the best regional and national photographers. This fundraising sale will benefit the participating artists and FITC’s Photography Exhibition Program. Artists have been selected from among the many photographers who have exhibited and taught at FITC. As an added plus, Dr. Lee Kitzenberg, a private collector, has donated a print by Frank Gohlke, from Gohlke’s noted Midwest Grain Elevator series. This print will be sold by raffle with the drawing at FITC at 8 p.m. on November 1. Raffle tickets are $10 each, or three for $25. (The winner need not be present at the drawing.) On Wednesday, October 24 at 8 p.m., a distinguished panel of artists and corporate and private collectors will discuss the art of collecting photography. The works to be sold will go on exhibit that night. The preview exhibition can be seen during FITC’s regular hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
